It’s been a while since I read Yotsuba&! Volume 2. There’s just something about reading stalled/canceled series that I don’t like. But Yotsuba&! is awesome, so I finally got around to it! Here’s my review of the last English volume of the manga.

It’s time yet again for me to take a look at the adventures of Buddha! While this volume is much shorter than the previous ones (332 pages, which is still a lot), it packs a ton of story.
With all the buzz over Rozen Maiden licenses and whatnot, I decided to take a look at the manga that started it all. This volume doesn’t contain any actual cardboard box fort battles, but it does lay down the foundation for future battles.
After reading the action and plot filled volume 5 of Kamui, I was really stoked to read volume 6. I’m happy to say that this volume contains more fighting, plot, and even a little romance! And it’s not yaoi romance! Well, at least, not all of it…
The second volume of Galaxy Angel takes the Angel squad through hot springs and hostage situations! Plus Ranpha gets all tsuntsun over Takuto. Will she ever get to the deredere phase?
When I think of Buso Renkin, I think of a few things. First, I think of Rurouni Kenshin, since the author is also Watsuki Nobuhiro. Next, I think of the butterfly glasses guy. Finally, I think of whether it’s really “Busou Renkin,” or “Buso Renkin.”
Densha Otoko is the story of the train otaku who found love with a little help from 2chan. I’ve never seen the live action or any of the 4 (FOUR!!!) manga that were adapted from the novel. First up is the CMX version, entitled “Densha Otoko.”
I remember watching the Alien Nine OVA a couple of years ago. All I remember is that I was totally confused at the end, and I didn’t really like it. Packing a lot of manga into a short OVA is typically a bad idea. The manga can just explain a whole lot more than a two hour animation.
I vaguely remember bits and pieces of the Galaxy Angel anime that I watched way back when. The Angel-tai would always be looking for a different piece of “lost technology” every week. The Galaxy Angel manga actually elaborates on the story by adding a plot! Whoa!
I hadn’t been watching the Death Note anime this season, and since the anime got licensed, I guess I won’t be for a while. I’ll get all of my Death Note action from the manga for now. It’s faster, and farther in the story than the anime anyway… Here’s my review of Death Note Volume 2.
