Yume Tsukai was on my Spring 2006 anime preview list, but it kinda fell off the radar due to the huge number of quality shows already out. I finally checked out the first episode. When I heard there was an anime called “Black Lagoon” coming out, I figured it would be a horror. Y’know, like the “Creature from the Black Lagoon?” Anyway, I was really surprised when I actually watched the episode.

The .hack anime series and I have always been on pretty rough terms. Back when .hack//SIGN was released, I started watching it, but grew tired of the slow and confusing plot. I dropped it after a few episodes. When .hack//DUSK came out, I liked the new art style (chibi), but the plot was still pretty dumb. I saw it through thanks to Round Table’s awesome OP! So how does .hack//ROOTS fare?

Doesn’t anyone find it weird that high school age (and younger) girls are found to be the most fit to pilot war machines? Anyway, here’s what I thought of the first episode of Simoun:
I reviewed the first chaper of the Ouran High School Host Club manga a while back, so I was already familiar with the story. Back then, I gave the manga an above average score for the cool character designs. So how does the anime version of Ouran High School Host Club do?
