Demonbane is the second and last anime to premiere this month. It attempts to combine nearly every genre there is into one anime. There’s hints of sci-fi, magic, comedy, romance, ecchi, and even mecha! But does it work?

Kamisama Kazoku is one of two anime making their debut this month. The other is Demonbane. So is the anime scene saturated with the school kids god genre, or can we take one more?
A while back I had seen a bunch of photos from some enterprising otaku who had found the town used in Onegai Twins, and took photos of all of the places versus their tv anime versions. My first thought was “wow, that place exists in real life!?” My second thought was “these people have no life!”
Witchblade – I’d heard the name before, and it turns out that the origin of this anime is with an American comic book (er… sorry, “graphic novel”). I’d put off watching this one because I figured it’d be like one of those wannabe anime (Teen Titans), except in reverse. Putting my snobbery aside, I give you my first impressions of the Witchblade anime:

Over 400 votes were counted in our most popular poll yet! The discussion was heated, and anime fans across the nation had their voices heard! It was an intense battle between everyone’s favorite tsunderekko and the up and coming crossdresser! So who takes home the victory? Whose cuisine reigns supreme!?

Since everyone likes “Top X” posts, and I’ve got access to a bunch of anime OPs anyway, I bring you the top 5 OPs of the Spring 2006 anime season!
About a month or so ago, my brother took a trip to Japan. When he asked me if I wanted him to bring me anything back, the first thing I thought of was naturally a cardboard box that said “mikan” on it. I mean, it’s not like I can just order one of those online! After trying to explain the allure of such an item (and failing; he’s not a big anime watcher), I just told him to get me whatever. He succeeded in getting some cool stuff, but I’m still without a mikan box.
Recently, gg fansubs released this anime with the description: “This anime is so serious that it’s a comedy.” I figured then that it would at least good for a laugh. What I got was the humor of Suzumiya Haruhi Ep. 1, except that with this anime, it’s totally unintentional!
